Campoli Appennino is a small town in the province of Frosinone, in the south of the region of Lazio. It is about 100 kms east of Rome. The number of inhabitants is less than two thousand. In the beautiful Comino Valley lies the medieval village of Campoli, also known as the Land of Bear and Truffle.
“The famous and important White Precious Truffle Festival takes place during the second and third weekend of November. It has reached its thirty sixth edition organised by Raffaello Benacquista and his team. “
The local town takes pride in celebrating the precious truffle.
At this local and intimate festival held in the historical streets, there will be the opportunity to taste and buy truffles and its specialties but also other local delicacies.
Visitors will be able to walk in the historic center among the stalls selling food and local wine, artisan cheese, honey, saffron, cured meat and local pastries.
The cooking shows take place in the marquee, where you can taste gourmet creations by prominent local Italian chefs.
And there is a special White truffle menu offering dishes that are an indulgent harmony of the prized white truffle and local ingredients.
